Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/04

February 4, 2016 Update

Talked with the driver who did the Boon to Cabrafae area today and he said the trails were excellent. The repairs were made on the 6175R’s drag (southern route groomer) so that it is out grooming tonight. In fact it is doing the intown trail tonight. All groomers should be running tonight and all weekend.

February 4, 2016

Conditions: Fair to Good

Temperatures have dropped and grooming has resumed this morning. There won’t be a groomer on the southern route until the drag is fixed which we hope will be later today. We picked up and inch or so overnight and the temps have finally fallen below freezing–22 degrees. I’ll get back to you regarding trail conditions as soon as the drivers get back to me. Stay tuned.

Gaylord Area Trail Report – VisitGaylord.com – 02/04

Riders report good riding yesterday. Trail 7 out by us was not groomed so was very rough. Trail 7 north was groomed and great. They continued their ride north. Indian River trails were beautiful. As they got around Cheyboygan they ran out of snow. We have plenty of snow. The base is solid after a bit of freezing rain the other day and fresh snow. – via Ray’s Retreat

Sledheads of Frederic – 2/4

No new snow but cooler temps. Everything froze up pretty good with the cooler temps out and the groomers have been out and about. Sled traffic is picking up for a Thursday and I predict another busy weekend of riders for our area. I plowed an awful lot of snow yesterday and it was very wet and heavy. Now that this is getting all packed down its a lot better for our base…..
