Good Morning!!!!

Last night we sent out all three groomers to get a full run on our trails. We are still short on snow everywhere but we do have ice from the melt downs as a base in most places. Overall the system is in fair shape but it could change fast with traffic as we don’t have much snow as a base. There are some water issues that we are still working on so try to keep the speeds down and watch for hazards. On the railroad grade (trail 2) north of the 471 corner (castle rock) we have fixed the beaver plugged culvert but still need more snow and cold to fix the holes. On the Caffey trail (2) west of 473 We also have a deep water hole that hasn’t frozen down yet. South towards St. Ignace on the railroad grade gets very thin south of castle rock and we haven’t been able to groom all the way in to town yet so take it easy if you decide to leave from there. Conditions get better as you head north.

Tuesday March 9th

45 degrees and sunshine today. Snow is melting and spring in the air. Still a fair amount of base in the woods but no riding to be had at this time. Rain is forecasted the next few days and we are just like most areas at a stand stilll. Our plan is to be on standby and if the weather happens to change we will groom if and when that happens. At that point we will update a trail report. So everybody hope for another trail report this month…
