Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 04/19

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – Good morning Kruppers!
Well this is it!
Looks like the snows have settled/melted pretty fast!
Forecast is looking more seasonal coming up!
This weekend will be about 50 so I’ll be riding in perfect conditions!
Looking past the weekend the weather is calling for almost 60 degrees!
I’m pretty sure if you want to ride after this weekend you might have to trailer to a shady spot and stay on the non sun facing hills!
I still think I’ll get a May ride in but I really feel it’s going to go fast!
The sun has a lot of power now and it stays light till 8pm or later so things will go down hill in a hurry!
If you remember a few posts back I said when it gets to upper 50’s and 60’s it really kills snow FAST and that’s what it looks like after this coming weekend!
Today through The weekend I would say would be great off trail riding!
After that……. I don’t know!
The creeks waterfalls and rivers should start flowing big time!
My favorite riding times!
There’s a ton of snow to play in right now and that 3-4 feet of HARD base will finally soften up along with this last 21” we officially got from this last storm things should be perfect for ME!
I’m sharing a comparison pic from live now to the peak depth it was after the storm!
Have a great day!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – Leif Gustafson just checked in with us and said conditions are awesome! He rode from Houghton to Toivola and met someone that came up from Mass City. At least a foot of fresh powder to break trail through! I don’t think everyone agrees but I LOVE this kinda spring!…

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western & Southern UP Snow Reports – Careful out there. Estimate in twin lakes… almost 10 inches already and still coming. Schools are announcing closings….
