KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western & Southern UP Trail Reports – 01/15 Jeff Leary, Andy Burns and crew just shared these photos with us after enjoying a stop at Omer’s Golf Course Bar, Restaurant, and Rental Cabins of Trail 3 from Mass City to South Range. They said, Trail 3 from Mass City to South Range was good to fair. It got ugly when we got North of South Range. There are some bare corners coming out of Mass City. We enjoyed a great lunch at Omar’s. Do your snow dances! It’s awesome to se people out making the best out of their trips! <> Trail update a few minutes ago from a rider… Posted by Western & Southern UP Trail Reports on Friday, January 15, 2021 KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau – 01/15 January 15, 2021 Houghton County has received a total of 76.9″ of snow for the season and Keweenaw County has received 62.8″ of snow for the season.* Today: Scattered snow showers. High 35F. Low 30F. Snowmobile Trail Conditions Snowmobile trails are in early season condition throughout the Keweenaw. Limited grooming is being done to preserve the trails until we get measurable fresh snow. Watch out for rocks, wet spots and other impediments as snow levels are low. MDNR Trail 133 is closed but has signed reroutes and MDNR Trail 134 to Copper Harbor is OPEN. The trail section from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden (portion of Trail 3) and the Freda Trail (Trails 121 & 120) will be closed the entire season for repair. Trail 109 out of Twin Lakes is in excellent condition to Hazel Swamp Road. From there to Alston we have trees down. A crew is going out today to clear the trail. Hopefully they are able to accomplish this. Please ride with caution in that area.

So far I'm showing 9 inches at 8:00am and still snowing and they are still calling for another 3-7 by this evening. As you can see the boys were out all night trying to get ahead of all this snow.
