TRAIL REPORT February 17, 2022
GREAT TRAILS AND FRESH SNOW!
Light new snow and a hard flat base have the trail system in an overall very good condition. Groomer operators we reporting great results. Forecast has light but steady snow through the weekend so trails should continue to stay clean and set good. Depending on traffic volumes trails may get choppy in some areas throughout the day. Get out and enjoy some really nice riding conditions. Keep doing the Cold Weather Snow Dancing and Stay Tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails –
When you are a diehard operator, you do a pre groom and a post groom trail inspection. Light snow forecast is helping trail conditions. Looks like it will be a good weekend for riding. Expect trail conditions to get a little choppy with high traffic expected over the weekend, but trails should hold up well. Ride right and ride safe!

This will slowly diminish lake effect snow showers from west to east. It will also help usher in a warm and mostly dry period. Right now, light freezing rain potential is mostly confined to central Upper Michigan Monday afternoon and evening. We'll also see temperatures climb above normal. Thank you folks for the hard work over the weekend! Saw multiple groomers and no complaints about the trails. Smooth as glass Sunday morning. My hat is off to you folks for keeping the many miles of trails in the shape you do.
MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Last night was a fun night with a little training, some drifting, and a murder burger from the Throttle in Little Lake! Lots of drifting on the east end last night and this morning. Good results grooming the entire length of the trail. Groomer will be out on the trail soon to clean up the drifts and make another run! General maintenance today went well with some of our operators getting involved and one of our new operators took the pole saw for a workout along Finn Spur, where the height of the snow and the tractor was putting us up in the canopy of the trees. It’s the little things that help out in the biggest ways. You don’t even have to be an operator to contribute! Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos
