Munising Area Trail Report – 03/23

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 3/23

We regret to inform everyone that between the announcement by our governor today and a week of warm weather coming up that we are ending our grooming operations for this season. That does not mean the trail is closed. It is still open until 4/1. It just means you will not see our die hard operators out on the trail until next season. Our gas stations will still be open. Our restaurants have been ceasing operations. Call ahead or check their Facebook pages to find out if they are open. We will start prepping for summer maintenance and getting ready for next season! We do have one HUGE favor to ask of all of you. When things return to normal, PLEASE visit our sponsoring businesses and thank them by buying their products, food, and gas and help get them back on their feet again so they will be there for you next season! Any little bit helps! Stay safe and thank you for the great season!

Munising Area Trail Report – 03/22

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 3/22

Last night’s grooming went well. Little Lake to Rumely is still in great shape. Rumely to the east end is still nice in most places but there are a couple road sections where we lost our private property access over a couple years due to people not staying on the trail that are not so great. Going into next week we will be taking things day by day depending on the weather.

TRAIL REPORT – Saturday, 03/21/2020
NEW SNOW WITH NEAR PERFECT TRAILS!

Overall trail conditions are good to very good with an average of 4 plus inches of fresh snow, heavier in areas. Trails are grooming out the best they have all season. We still have a very good base overall with great late season riding conditions. Near the towns we have some thin snow on trails running along the roadways though the Wetmore Spur along M-28 is very good. Most of Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore is un-groomable with icy corners and hill tops. Check Fuel and Food stops before heading out. Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
