Around 5-6 inches of heavy snow again last night.

We groomed back to Newberry from pine stump last night, trail 45 to camp 7 rd only because staffing issues , cut river and trout lake last night. We plan to groom everything tonight. It is currently 20 degrees and cloudy, we have about 3-7 inches of heavy snow in the forecast for today.
Remember when you are on the side of any road always ride on the right side!
In other news we are raffling off a a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 450 Donated by Renze Power Sports.

Drawing held April 22, 2023 @ 7:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Newberry
300 tickets printed
If less than 125 tickets are sold then the raffle will revert to a 50/50 drawing.

Curfew in the Village of Newberry is 11:00pm to 7:00am.
Trail 9: Groomed south last night. Reported as very good. Logging be operations are finished and county roads 415 and 422 are now being groomed but snow is still a bit thin. good.
Trail 498: Groomed last night. Very Good.
Trail 45: Groomed to camp 7 last night. Good. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots
Trial 9/2: Groomed last night to cut river and Trout lake. Conditions being reported as good.

SENEY AREA UPDATE via Seney Snowmobile Association >> Well, that was one heck of a storm we got yesterday! We currently have two machines heading to the bear trap to try and get that back into shape. We will be working on 440 also today. It’s going to take us a few days to get all the trails cleared. If your out riding today be careful out there lots of snow drifts. If you see a tree down and you can help move it please lend a hand we can use all the help we can get. #seney #newberry
GRAND MARAIS AREA UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. >> The forecast did not disappoint. Lots of wind and snow. It will take a few days to get the trails cleaned up. Ride with caution as there are trees down and big drifts. 2 drivers are headed east to groom and clean up. 2 drivers will be heading west to groom and clean up shortly

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> The cool thing about this video is when I left to groom 9 Sunday night, we were still praying for the snow to hit, and I was just working on trail repair, before I got back from this 16hr 91.5 mile run, THIS is what I was working with!!
16 hours included cutting two downed 12-14" pines trees completely across and many other smaller and wind blown debris, lots of stops.
I left green ribbons hanging in the spots I cut the two pines, worried about what I may have missed under the snow. Just careful. #newberry #snowphotos
