TRAVERSE CITY UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> 12/29 We received varying amounts (6 to 12 inches) of snow throughout the trails so far. We have some members going out tomorrow looking for downed trees due to the high winds. The groomers will be going out on the south and west trails tomorrow to pan the new snow down. If your out and see a downed tree that needs cleaned up, send us a message. Heavy snow and strong winds gusting to 45-55+ mph are expected to create localized blizzard conditions across open areas at times from mid-morning into early afternoon. Drifting snow may make travel especially difficult on secondary roadways. Power outages will also be possible, especially across areas that experienced icing on Sunday.
