PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Town Hall Snowmobile Club Paradise MI >> 01/28 1/28/25 Me and Groomer Mike C. took 2 machines sans drags and headed into da swamp south of town. We worked most of the day in there and FINALLY got `er passable!!!! We will let it set today and then pull a drag thru tomorrow. Now, keep in mind, it won`t be perfect but ridable and safe. A couple places will be only one groomer width wide so take it slow in there…..PLEASE!!! Today we are runnin our entire system (except swamp). All trails are in beautiful shape!!!!! COME ON U.P.!!!!! You are missing out if you don`t!!!!!! Use caution as there is a downed tree on the backside of the lake. We did not have a chainsaw and were unable to move it on our own. Visibility is better and there are a lot of sleds out. The snow is DEEP. If I had to guess I would say we got 20"+ of snow. Be safe. Be prepared and do not ride alone. There's a lucky guy! Please don't try to go out until the county trucks are able to do a pass or 2. 11 degrees this morning and a light snow falling. It snowed and blowed really hard here yesterday for a few hrs. then chilled out over night. I think we picked up around 3-4". The LE machine is supposed to kick into high gear today and "they" are saying 3-6" more……we`ll see. I got really good news from yesterday so lets get to it……..

Widespread snow is beginning to taper off from west to east. Very heavy snow will continue across the central and east into the afternoon. Widespread wind gusts 35-45 mph are common this morning, with gusts 50-60 mph closer to Lake Superior contributing to near zero visibilities, and blowing and drifting snow.
In Marquette and Alger counties, M-28 between US-41 and M-94 is closed. Unless absolutely necessary, travel is strongly discouraged this morning. Stay safe! #miweather #munising #newberry
