FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 12/31 Happy New Years Eve day. I wish I could tell you we got dumped with snow but the only thing that has increased is the bare ground this week. The 2 pics below I took at Sledheads when I went up there yesterday just to see what it looked like. The lot is pretty bare and I even have a big pond in my back parking lot. The Frederic Inn is having prime rib tonight so I might just have to try that. I would actually rather ride than eat. Wishing eveyone a Happy and Safe New Year and thanks for checking in. Snow is about 4 inches so far and its a wet and heavy snow, tough to plow and hard to ride in. We just cant win on this. Winter storm warning till 1 tuesday morning. -Winter Storm Warnings for counties shaded in pink and Winter Weather Advisories for counties in blueish/purple until 7pm Wednesday.
-Some areas could see 9-12"+ in Antrim, Otsego, Crawford & Kalkaska Counties. Same for areas of Luce & Chippewa Counties. Winds could be gusting upwards of 40mph blowing and drifting the fresh snow.
