Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 04/01

Sunny Monday and April Fools day in Frederic, I wish i could say we had a snow storm overnight. I really did have a few flakes on my truck when I left home this morning. Well we are past the sled season. Each year when I start writing this blog its hard to get myself going on it each day and now that the season is over its a habit and hard to stop as its the first thing I think of when I walk in here in the mornings. I just want to say a bit Thank You to everyone that stopped in during the season that helped support my hang out. Its always fun seeing the regulars as well as all the new people that stop in.

Here is another interesting link I just found out about, you will want to keep this one Snow Depth Charts and information at gaylord. For the summer I will try and put things on as they come along maybe every couple weeks or it might stretch to a month, or will post from where ever my travels may take me. Also please remember me for any real estate questions or purchases or selling that you may need to do anywhere in the state…..

Here is a link to the news story on the trail closures for orv’s this summer. Be sure to read this and pay attention to it as this is going to be a big ongoing story .  Trail Closures in and around Grayling

Grand Marais Trail Report – Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – 03/31

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.

Late report: groomed 8 west and 88. More than expected traffic last night. Trails were in fairly good shape. Groomed nicely for a late season ride. My last groom for another incredible season. We were fortunate to have tons of snow and riders. Thank you for all the waves and smiles! Camera problems, so only one of 8 west along H58. Be smart, be safe! GT

Ran the 8 East trail Saturday. First, It’s very rideable and this is what I can say about the condition: It’s really hard and covered with sugar snow, fairly smooth and flat. A lot of the corners are icy. Still good late season riding. I pushed a bunch of snow to fill in a large waterhole approx. 4 miles south east of Pull up Hill Rd and H58. See last 3 pics. Still…be careful. Groomer Phil
