Munising Area Trail Report – 12/30

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 12/30

TRAIL REPORT – Wednesday, 12/30/2020
SUBSTANTIAL SNOWFALL NEEDED
Another inch of snow fell overnight but still nothing substantial in the 10 day forecast. Enough lake-effect snow did fall over the last few days on a line from Miners Castle to Shingleton to do some panning and training with the groomers yesterday. Even in these areas no cutting could be done, just panning and snow harvesting with the wings on our Dubie Groomers. Though we have about 15 miles of our 101 mile trail system in fair condition, overall trail conditions still remain poor. We are seeing some die hard riders out on the trails but conditions are unfavorable, visibly seen kicking up the gravel and dirt in areas. We are still in a waiting game so stay tuned as we keep you up to date with the trail and grooming status. Full Detailed Report here: https://www.algersorva.com/trailreport/12-30-2020/

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 12/30

Getting to be that time of the year again. We are out for our first time this season. We are out attempting to fill in some of the wet spots, although many of them are already frozen over, there are a few that I am breaking through. We still need more snow and we are not making a full run tonight but trying to concentrate one some of the trouble spots. Keep doing your snow dance, and maybe mother nature will listen. If you venture out for a ride anytime soon, keep in mind, conditions are early season, and not great yet. There will be many dips and holes yet so try to keep it slower and stay safe.
Ride right, and have fun….
