GTASC would like to thank our volunteer groomer drivers. The countless hours you dedicated to our sport and trails is much appreciated. In addition, we would like to thanks all those that were involved with the prep work. The brushing, signing grading and the maintenance on the vehicles. Without all your help, (and the snow of course), we would not have had a great snowmobile season. Thanks again for all you do!!!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> We trend milder into midweek with drizzly / damp periods. TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> Groomer Jeff was out on the east trail panning the fresh snow down yesterday. He rates the east trail as good with a 2-3 base. We will be sending out the groomers today on the west and south routes before the forecasted warm up. Please note, were are unable to pan/groom the powerlines because the ground is not frozen as of yet. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober... #traversecity #snowphotos
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> The winter weather advisory has come and gone. The trails took a hit this weekend with all the traffic. Luckily, we had a narrow lake effect band set up shop on Sunday and dropped a foot of fluff in some areas on the trail. Elsewhere, we received 2-6 inches. A few club members went out to check the trails on their sleds, and rated the trails as good, with some snirt in areas.
We will be panning this new snow before the warm up this week. Hopefully, this warn up doesn't hurt the base too much.
