Jordan Valley Area Trail Report – 02/02
JORDAN VALLEY AREA UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council >> 02/02 Monday update: Pisten Bully is still down on trail 4/76. NDA ordered Wednesday showed up Saturday afternoon. Crew got out there Sunday but found more damage and parts were ordered today. If you happen to find this boogie wheel between Alba and trail 76 north of Elmira please notify us, we need to get our hands on it. New part is on order and scheduled to be in tomorrow. If all goes as planned trails will be back in shape by end of the week. Huge thank you to Mike, Kevin, Phil, Rich and Craig for trying to get repairs made in timely fashion. Sled traffic was slow around Frederic on sunday but people having a good time. Supposed to be a little warmer all week but turn colder next weekend. Sorry I dont even have any pics from yesterday. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Clouds increase tonight, and snow is likely late tonight into Monday morning. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely in eastern upper and northwest lower Michigan, with an inch or less in northern lower Michigan. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Another perfect day for riding in northern michigan. Temp has made it to 25 and sled traffic has been steady. The Swamp has been busy all day and its saturday and that makes me think about Frederic Inn prime rib. Went down to Houghton Lake last night for the second friday night at Tip Up Town. I havent been down there in 30 years or probably more. Once a year the State Police come thru Frederic on the train to catch riders doing rail road trespass which can be as simple as being to close to the tracks so the moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM THE TRACKS. Usually the train has a MSP sign on it but it did not today but I did see a sheriff car following along on old 27. They have been thru twice this afternoon and it was just 2 engines which never happens any other time. Not to much else to say. Thanks for checking in. This has been a busy friday as I keep thinking its saturday. This whole season has brought in alot of people that havent been in here in years. That part is fun to see all of these past customers and memories I have with them. Little kids from years ago that are grown and bringing in their families. Bob Compton from south of Jackson who always says I need men sized shirts in here. He made an apperance here today after a many year absense. Not supposed to be much snow this weekend so get out and ride and enjoy it.
