IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 02/11
Warm temperatures today, trails took a beating. Tonight will be sending out at 10:00 PM two groomers. One going out on 160 and the other one doing trail 2 from Hurley to Marenisco.
Tomorrow will be another story as we see what mother nature brings because she’s been hard to figure out. We will do our dam best to make the trails smooth as they or we can.

Snow will continue west to east quickly, diminishing in the Keweenaw and central as the night progresses. This is an easy one!! All of our trail system was groomed yesterday!
Every trail is in good to very good condition with the exception of Trail #1 along Lake Superior between Silver City and The Porkies Ski Hill. Very light snow, mostly snirt, slow down for any low area as they are bumpy.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Widespread snow will begin to spread west to east this morning while a heavier snowband looks to set up in the central UP this afternoon. Uncertainty still remains where this snowband will park, however, heavy snowfall rates will likely create difficult travel along US-41 from Delta to Marquette/Alger counties. Tonight, widespread snow transitions to lake effect snow for the north wind snowbelts.

We spent 7 hours this morning out doing the lord's work cutting them bumps down from Ontonagon to Rockland to White Pine. Come ride!! Temps are perfect for winter adventures! All trails are in surprisingly good condition except Trail 1 along Lake Superior which has a thin, snurty ice base.

No big changes for the UP, although a bit more snow is now forecast for the Keweenaw and central UP.
