March 18, 2026 – 11:45 pm update: – WEDNESDAY NIGHT – Most of the clubs are in the final stages of digging out of the BLIZZARD OF 2026. The Central and Eastern U.P. got the most snow accumulations topping out at 35 and 40 and 50 inches of snow with drifts of 8 to 10 feet. The Western U.P. and the Keweenaw Peninsula came away with only 20 inches or so. Groomers have been on the trails ther and conditions are good. In the Central and Eastern U.P. groomers and tackling the big drifts and getting things under control. There may be some areas where the groomers have not gotten yes. Slight warm up this weekend so expect spring conditions even with all of the snow. Temps remain cold next week so all of the snow should last through next week and into next weekend.

The tip of the mitt and the area north of Gaylord got the most snow in Northern Lower Michigan. Groomers are out and trails should have enough snow through the weekend and into next week. The slight warm up this weekend will likely create spring conditions on most trails.
