Gaylord – December 27
Riders have been enjoying their rides. They are reporting some snirty areas closer to Gaylord. Had a group that rode over thru Jordan Valley yesterday and they loved it!

Gaylord Bureau
Trail Report: Dec 28, 2012 @ 8:40 am

The snowmobile trails are open! Trails are being groomed. The local club has been working on getting all the trees that fell from last week’s storm off the trails! ‘CAUTION’ is advised because of the debris along the sides of the trails! But trails are passable according to reports. We have around 16-18 inches of snow in and around the Gaylord area. The forecast has temps staying below freezing. Base is unknown at this time but there is lots of snow on the trails.

Newberry Trail Report – 12/28

There has only been one significant snow fall so far this year, and we need more snow. Jeff groomed around town on Christmas day and reports we need snow bad. For what we have the trails are in good shape around town.

We do not groom in the village, and the curfew in the village is 11 P.M. to 7 A.M.

Trail #9 to Pine Stump area has been groomed but there some wet areas as the ground has not froze yet. Joe & Wally report the trail is in good shape.

Trail #45 to the Falls has been groomed. The swamp and low lying areas are not froze yet and there is some water on the trail. John reports the trail is in Fair Condition

Trail #9/2 to Epoufette/Trout lake is in Fair Condition. We groomed to Epoufette, and to the power lines going to Trout Lake. There is not enough snow and the ground has not froze to allow us to go along the railroad Tracks.

The trails on private land are open. All of the signing is done, and there are a lot fewer signs this year, so BE CAREFUL. All chevrons to mark curves are gone.

THE NORTH STORE ON CO. RD. 407,WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR.

The curfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M.

FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge as they are closed due to the Duck Lake fire. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED.
