Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/28

Greetings would be Sledders,

We are so far out of the game we can barely see the stadium and it doesn’t look to get any better anytime soon.

There’s a hint of snow on the trails and that hint may well become a memory given the rain that’s in the forecast, there’s talk of an inch or more which will lead to lots of puddles that will be setting on frozen ground with no particular place to go. Add to that temps that look to be at or above freezing thru the 4th. Ouch!!

The good news for the club is that we have both tractors back after some repairs at the dealership and after a quick trip to the local quarter wash they are ready for the 4th of July parade.

Next report when conditions change.

Have a Happy New Year!

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,

Keith, Sandy and the Kids

Get out and ride today! All open trails besides 160 were groomed last night. If travelling to Bergland, trail 8 has significant water hazards and only experienced riders should take that route. Trail 2 to Marenisco is pictured and in beautiful shape. Will the trails hold.up through an inch of rain, YUP! Will there be water hazards the club will have to fix, YUP! Saturday should be fantastic, get out early and RIDE!!

IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 12/27

Groomer Report: Tucker went out early this morning to put Ironwood to Wakefield back into shape. Trails are holding up incredibly well, even after several dozen sleds came behind the groomer this morning the return run showed the base is well intact and DEEP. Yes warm temps and rain is forecast for late Saturday into Sunday. We plan to go hard tonight to get as much groomed as possible. Then we will be parked to Monday awaiting temps to drop. Be sure to support our trail side sponsors!!!
