IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 1/16

Trails groomed up SO NICE last night. With our T7 down and out for two weeks the club is begining 24/7 grooming – groomers will be out in daylight! The section between Bessemer and Wakefield is looking the best it has all season. Hurley, WI to the end of our portion of trail 8 was groomed over night. The 10′ drag swap behind the Tucker was long over due, it does amazing with it! Thank you to groomer man Dan for sharpening the drag skegs, wiring up an adapter to fit our Tucker and hooking it up for the late night groomer run. Join us, your time is so valuable and twice as valuable to us! Up coming fundraiser this Saturday Night Gogebic Range Trail Authority Meat Raffle!!!

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/16

Yee Hah, Its snowing. We have had about 3 new inches of snow over night and its still coming. Its a light fluffy snow but it is snow and at this stage of the game lets take what we can. This will be the first busy riding weekend of the season plus the fact its a long weekend thanks to MLK…….

Still reports of many water holes around and they are not to be taken lightly as some of them are huge and deep. Go around if you can.

One more death in the u.p. yesterday which puts the count up to 5 for the season. First two riders in this morning are here for a day trip from Sandusky Ohio, they parked out back in my park n ride and headed out. The Alabama boys were just in and made it up here from Demopolis Alabama. I think its about an 1100 mile drive. I have many trailers in down at my storage lot from Indiana and Ohio but I am pretty sure they will be the only one there from Alabama……

Riders have been pretty generous with their parking donations for my park n ride to my daughter Haleys fund raiser for her study abroad trip to Spain so she says a BIG THANK YOU. She is going to U of M and is a spanish major…….

The outlook goes good for the snow to keep falling. Thanks for checking in. Pete
