Antrim County Trail Report – Jordan Valley Trails Council – 01/29

JORDAN VALLEY UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council – 1/29

North 10 (Elmira north) is good snow cover but it’s sugary and the trail has been fairly smooth with random thin spots (reminder we only groom 10 miles then another club picks up from there) Jordan Vallry is maintaining thin as well as the issue stated above. EJ direction is fair, we still are avoiding the swamp just S of Graves Crossing, but it’s just a short stretch 131 is holding its own South trails are in decent shape, 76 has been a chore but the guys are getting a handle on it, again be cautious of the logging. There¢ is a new trail in place on the power lines between 4/76 and 4 It is marked and groomed, please try and stay on the trail. Just in time for the weekend, 40* WEATHER! Weather will hinder grooming but we’ll send some detectives out to monitor conditions on sleds. Ride right, ride safe and have a great weekend!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 1/29

TRAIL REPORT – Wednesday, 01-29-2020
DECENT TRAIL RIDING
Overall trail conditions are very good. With the colder, dryer weather, grooming operations are getting great results. Being just below freezing trails are workable and setting good in areas. Trail 419 near Wetmore and Trail 7 near Christmas are icy with sugary snow because of being high traffic areas. We really need a substantial snowfall to bind things together and keep the groomed ribbons lasting longer. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going. Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
