TRAIL REPORT February 17, 2022
GREAT TRAILS AND FRESH SNOW!
Light new snow and a hard flat base have the trail system in an overall very good condition. Groomer operators we reporting great results. Forecast has light but steady snow through the weekend so trails should continue to stay clean and set good. Depending on traffic volumes trails may get choppy in some areas throughout the day. Get out and enjoy some really nice riding conditions. Keep doing the Cold Weather Snow Dancing and Stay Tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails –
When you are a diehard operator, you do a pre groom and a post groom trail inspection. Light snow forecast is helping trail conditions. Looks like it will be a good weekend for riding. Expect trail conditions to get a little choppy with high traffic expected over the weekend, but trails should hold up well. Ride right and ride safe!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> After some fog today, rain moves in tonight, with a transition to snow that could have a period of light freezing rain and/or sleet mixed in. The best chances for 3+ inches of snow are in the high terrain of Marquette and Baraga Counties. Snow then ends from west to east through the day Friday, though travel might be difficult in some spots on the morning commute. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> A picture says a thousand words! Thank you Steve, Dean, and Brandon for getting your hands dirty with this 3 day repair marathon! Of course all of the parts didn’t come in for the front axle pivot, but we had enough parts to get us by until we get another window for a proper repair. With temps hovering in the low 30’s and the trail holding up amazingly well, we will probably hold off grooming until the temperature drops Friday. That will give us time to recover from working our normal jobs all day and putting in even more hours in the shop. I couldn’t be prouder of our team for doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done! Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotosA picture says a thousand words!
