FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 02/26
Sunny 25 degrees sunday at noon in Frederic. Sleds have been out and about all morning and trails looking pretty decent.
I went out for a 20 mile ride last night and have to say I was surprised how much snow was out there. Many two tracks we were on had to have almost a foot on them. Sled traffic was heaviest of the season on saturday and everyone having a good time.
Now the next question is will this hold and will we get more snow this week.
Also I still have 3 different bags here that have been lost off of sleds. If you are missing a bag off your sled give me a call. Have on arctic cat bag and one polaris hard bag and another generic blue bag. Another good nite for prime rib at the Frederic Inn too. Had to wear my snowmobile man bib to keep my shirt clean. Started out riding to Frederic from home and then to Starvation Lake, Alba, Jordan Valley Trail, D & K formally Larrys in Elmira, up the Chandler HIlls trail until I lost the trail right at dark, then a little ditch banging as after i lost the trail I started south and east as I knew I would hit the highway. Came out by Vanderbilt and theh hit the 7 trail back to Gaylord, Waters and Frederic…..Perfect day of riding. Met up with Big John and Speed Bump for Spike burgers about 9 last night.I might go again this afternoon as I am thinking about a burger at Talleys. Supposed to get cold this weekend. Rode to Lovells last night and then home, left home this morning and rode towards Starvation Lake and then down to Frederic, conditions on trails nice and fluffy and smooth. Happy to say that trail 7 south out of Frederic along with trails 47, 679 and 76 all very nice. I rode 26 miles back here to Frederic and came into sledheads to warm up and am heading back out. Its 16 degrees at almost 1 in the afternoon. Pics are from last night and this morning. Heading back out. Closed again and gone riding. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord #snowphotos
