Trails are looking pretty good. Seeing nothing but smiles out there.
Yesterday was a busy day for us. SAW meeting, 419 Frog Hollow Work, Thawing the 6175 ice block… water holes = drag becomes a solid ice block, groomer barn roof leak, and so much more. We have folks out riding the trails and giving us good feedback. Please feel free to post in the comments any comments or concerns.
Brownstone Groomer Update – This groomer will be covering from AuTrain out to Marquette. We inherited this machine with the front blade ripped off and one of the front tracks destroyed. We have been working through the insurance claims process. We now have all of the needed parts and the work will begin this weekend. We pushed and tried all summer to get this done. We are not happy we were not able to get this done before snow but it has been outside of our control.
Tomorrow morning we will be out in Newberry for the MISORVA BOD meeting.
We are almost getting to the point where we can run regular scheduled runs. Traffic has been very light so far. We are expecting that to change this weekend and will be monitoring closely. Again, we welcome your feedback.
Picture is the Frog Hollow swamp hole between Munising and Christmas. Nicely packed in and freezing up already.

Travel impacts abate tonight with lake effect snow becoming light into Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, a shot of widespread snow will be followed by strong winds and lake effect. The snow in this period will change to the kind that blows around really easily. We do have a groomer down. It broke around 7am this morning. Trail 7 North in the Christmas is where it is located.
