Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 03/07

March 7, 2016

33 degrees this morning when I got outa bed at 7, its 10am now and 43 and sunny. Its supposed to get close to 50 today and continue to get warmer the rest of the week. Needless to say our trails are going fast. Me thinks they won`t last until this weekend. All trails were groomed last night so here`s the run down……

Groomer Mike ran the south trail #8. The swamp is holding but he thinks by the end of today or tomorrow it will be closed. The rest of the trail is fair to good.

Groomer Steve ran the Falls trail #45 and called it fair.

Groomer Gerald ran the Pine Stump trail #8 and called it fair to good. The couple of plowed dirt roads that we use are down to mud now.

Groomer Woody ran the Point trails #452 and #453 and called those good but the plowed dirt roads on those trails are down to mud also.

So there you have it. I kinda think the end of the season is upon us. It sure was a short season this year….bummer. We may spot groom a couple more times but I think we`ll be done shortly. I think this will be my last report unless something major happens. If you want to get ahold of me feel free to e-mail me at my home address….saunders@jamadots.com. Hope ya`ll had a good season. See ya`s next winter. Groomer Chris

Munising Area Trail Report – 03/07

TRAIL REPORT: 6:00 a.m. Monday, March 7
Temp 35 degrees, with a sunny 46 degrees forecast

Overall the main trails are still in great condition. The trails in the hills around Munising are overall fair to good.

* Trail 8 is in great condition. (soft sugary snow but flat)
* Trail 419 from Trail 8 North into Wetmore is fair to good.
From Wetmore to Christmas it goes from fair to good after the first few miles West of Munising. West Bay Spur is good.
*Trail 7 from Christmas South to Ridge Road is fair.
The remainder of Trail 7 South to the Trail 8 intersection is fair to good.
*Trail 422 to Miner’s Castle is good.
*Trail 7 South to CR440 is good to fair as you head South.

We have 50 with rain forecast for Tuesday then temps are dropping back down later in the week. Hopefully we can salvage most of the trail system after this rainy warm spell. If we are lucky we may still have another good snowfall before the season closes out.

Enjoy your riding and be safe!
