WOLVERINE / INDIAN RIVER UPDATE via Sturgeon Valley Campground – We got another inch of snow overnight and I bought another canister of hot chocolate powder. I challenge you folks to finish it off by the end of the weekend. If you do, I’ll buy more of course, but I’ll also buy hot dogs and buns and we’ll have a free lunch for everyone next weekend! Who’s up for it? Share this post and let everyone know the Sturgeon Valley Campground has a warming station for snowmobilers right off of trail 7, just south of Wolverine with heated restrooms and free coffee and hot chocolate. Get everyone you know to come in on their sled and say hi. If you can run me out of hot chocolate this weekend, I’ll grill out in the snow next weekend for everyone!

Don’t forget, we are open year round and rent cabins for just $55 per night all winter!

CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS

Well it appears that winter has come back. We received about 5″ on the south end of our system over the weekend, slightly more on the north.

Trails are in fair condition with a icy base and a decent amount of snow. Looks like it will be here for awhile yet, so pack the trailer and come on up.

Groomers are running on a fairly regular basis and will be in full swing with any additional snow.

Respect the corners and ride safe. Make the most of what we have while you can.

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:

33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery

Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.
