Groomers out last night and this morning. Trails in good shape except loop around Kinross due to low snow. Temps all week to b above freezing every day but below at night. We will continue to groom as needed as traffic and snow/icy miss remain.

Groomers out over night and trails in fair to good shape yet. Road shoulders are bare. Trails in woods are still good to excellent! They are icy and road shoulders are bare. Less snow base around Kinross area, without new snow they will not last much longer. We will continue grooming as needed for traffic and snow conditions. All is calling for temps I’m mid 30’s during the day but getting down to low 20’s overnight. Maybe some snow mid week.

We have a new plowed parking area at the beginning of trail #8 under the International Bridge, which now has an all season porta John. Make sure you lock your vehicles and trailers.

If you are staying in the Sault please look at our list of supporters on our web page and give them your business. Please do that in all towns you visit. The grooming entities are all made up of volunteers who want you to support those who support us!!!!!!

Remember trail base is the amount of snow between your track and the ground below not the amount of fluff piled up in the woods. 10 inches of snow compresses to less then a inch on the trail.

Sault Ste. Marie to Brimley, Trail #8 –

Base 1 – 4 inches -Trail is in fair to good Condition.

Brimley to Raco, Trail #8 –

Base 2 – 4 inches -Trail is in good Condition.

When going across the bridge in Brimley make sure you go with your the flow of traffic! Blowing and drifting occurs when you first leave Brimley.

Raco to Naomikong Trail #8 [where Paradise meets us], Trail #8 –

Base 2 – 5 inches – Trail is in good Condition.

Sault Ste. Marie City Trail, Trails #497, #449, parts of #8 & #49 –

Base 1 – 4 inches – Trail is in fair to good condition. Trail is groomed past casino down to Antlers.

We now have a marked trail going to Chippewa Motors. It starts once you come out of the woods east of M-129 off #449. It comes into their parking lot from behind if you need parts or service.

City curfew is from 1 am – 6 am. Remember most City streets are open to traffic 20 mph, stop at all intersections, and ride on the right hand side of street not on side walks. Watch for closed streets that are posted, mainly around the hospital, university, and state trunk lines.

Sault Ste. Marie to Kinross, Trail #49 –

Base 1 – 4 inches – Trail is in fair to good Condition.

Make sure you follow reroute once you cross bridge going south at 7 Mile road .

When the trail is running along roads make sure you go with the flow of traffic on the right side of the road.

Kinross loop & south to Pickford, Parts of Trail #49, #472, and #494 –

Base 1- 2 inches – Trail in poor to fair Condition. Watch for trucks on trail.

Kinross to Raco & Rudyard, Parts of trail #472 & #480 –

Base 1 – 4 inches – Trail in fair to good Condition. Watch for reroute signs just west of Kinross. Trail to Rudyard has been groomed but logging going on too

The Downtown Trail is signed and snow and barrels are on Portage Ave bridge.

Groomers ran the whole trail system Friday March 2 and will not be running again until we get more snow. Our trail conditions range from very good to fair. For right now call it "end of the season conditions" Everything is rideable and the trails are open until March 31 we just don’t have enough snow to keep grooming at this time. Snow is in the forecast, how much well we just don’t know 🤔 THINK SNOW!

Trail 2 east of Watersmeet – to trail 107 – Fair/good – snirty/dirty as you leave watersmeet
Trail 3 north of trail 2 to bond falls – fair – roadside section right as you turn off trail 2 is bare, the rest of the trail has icy areas and icy/dirty corners
Trail 3 north of Bond falls – good – icy corners
Trail 3 south of Watersmeet to WI – good -this trail gets tons of traffic and it gets rough between groomings use caution over the bridges
Trail 2 west of Watersmeet – good – holding up much better than you’d think, there is a wet area about 20miles west of Watersmeet where water is on the trail there are signs so please use caution
Trail 13 south of trail 2 – good – icy/dirty corners
