GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – Groomer Report: Went West tonight. Trail conditions are not the best. A lot of fluffy snow and drifts out on H58. Log slide didn’t look too bad. Widdened out and more or less plowed the parking lot. Once you leave H58 I think it gets a little better but not by much. I straightened it out the best I could tonight but it’s going to take us a couple of days to get it all right again. Only got one good picture at the log slide and a good video of me hoggin snow.

9 east, half a mile from the tin shack. What a lot of snow! Rolling snow and cutting corners all night. Lot of traffic. Snowed hard all night. Groomer Dan

Even though all GM trails were groomed last night, it snowed hard and blew hard all night. There will most likely be drifting on the trails this morning. The wind has died down somewhat but it’s still snowing hard. The current temp is 7 with a wind chill of -9. I’m sure it’s much colder away from the lake. Pay attention and be careful out there today!!
