IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 12/6

Trail 160 remains closed, should be open next week. To the boneheads that ripped up the first open field the trail goes through, to the other bone heads that stole all the no snowmobiling signs…please stop. We’re volunteering and have tremendous work ahead of us. The least you could do is not cause us more work.

IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 12/5

Trail 2 has been groomed from Hurley, WI to Marenisco and trail 8 has been rolled/opened up as well. The ski hills were groomed last night and the soft spots continue to shrink each day, very easy ride. We are sending the groomer out trail 160 today to pack it. The only closed trail is 11S which will remain closed for the season. Be sure to stop in the VFW in Wakefield for a great lunch, open daily!! Thank you Kevin of Mt. Horeb, WI for logging his first solo miles on GRTA equipment! Trails are rated in fair to excellent condition, but hazards remain!
