WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Expect a few light lake effect snow showers in the NW wind snowbelts through this morning with minimal additional accumulations. Warmer weather is in store for midweek with highs in the 20s and even into the low 30s in the far west. Two rounds of light snow are expected from Thursday to Friday morning. ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Scott's Superior Inn and Cabins >> ❄️ Porcupine Mountains / Ontonagon Snow Report ❄️
Winter is absolutely delivering right now. We’re over 160” for the season total so far.
We’ve measured 24 inches of fresh snow in just the last week and a half right on our deck, and conditions across the Porcupine Mountains and Ontonagon area are shaping up to be the best snowmobiling and skiing we’ve seen in many years.
Snowmobile trails are well-covered with a solid base, riding smooth and fast thanks to consistent cold temps. Off-trail snow is deep, fluffy, and exactly what you hope for up here. For skiers — both downhill and Nordic — coverage is excellent, with beautiful natural snow and classic Lake Superior powder conditions.

A little groomer meeting!
Had Mike and Mac out yesterday, but Wyatt and Jay really hit it!
All trais in our system were groomed last night except Trail 11.
Groomed:
Trail #12 from Greenland to White Pine.
Trail #137 from Ontonagon to 13.
Trail #13 from Rockland to Trail #101.
Trail #101 to 12.
Trail #1 from 12 to Lake of the Clouds.
All were reported in very good to excellent condition.
