CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort >> 02/05
Another Solid Week!
Trail Conditions: Very Good; Base: 4-5″ ; New Snow last 24 Hrs: 2-3″
Temps and conditions remain very favorable for snowmobiling in the Cadillac region. Cadillac Winter Promotions and surrounding areas have repaired any damages from last weekend’s big crowds. Forecast is calling for another 3-6″ of snow today & tomorrow! Midweek riding is always the best, but I would expect this weekend’s conditions to be great as well! * We have Grammy Award Winner, Kendell Marvel performing at Coyote (inside) this Friday & Saturday nights! Tickets available online and at the door. * And there’s a Vintage Snowmobile Ride this Saturday, starting at 11AM at Lost Pines Lodge.
I groomed and trained a new driver Tuesday, and hit Trail 37 both north and south out of the Hoxeyville barn. All of our system will get hit one to two more times before the weekend.
Photo was taken Sunday afternoon during a beautiful, sunny ride up to Mesick. Thanks to Trailside Tavern for a delicious lunch! THINK SNOW & RIDE RIGHT! … Pete

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Feb 4, 2026, 3am…Nuisance flurries hang on today, but the clipper parade returns starting Thursday, with a reinforcing shot of arctic air Friday that will result in some travel impacts as temperatures fall from near freezing early to the teens by afternoon with more snow showers and blustery conditions. Colder Saturday, with a few flurries around again, and then, you guessed it, more snow chances going into early next week…though signals point toward a warming trend during this period as well. #miweather #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeyFeb 4, 2026, 3am…Nuisance flurries hang on today, but the clipper parade returns starting Thursday, with a reinforcing shot of arctic air Friday that will result in some travel impacts as temperatures fall from near freezing early to the teens by afternoon with more snow showers and blustery conditions.
