LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 02/15
Wednesday February 15th. Had to go to the wonderful Konteka for a groomer sandwich before my run. Shout out Mike Olsen. So overall I would consider thing’s in good shape. ( At least on my run)… we will have 3 machines going and fingers crossed our entire system will be hit. I saw zero bare spots but strayed away from wet area’s.
I would consider everything good and talked to riders smiling and Happy to see us out.
We will continue to update but as of now our grooming operations will continue nightly weather providing.
One last note. On February 21st trail 8w to wakefield will be closed for the day to allow excel energy to do utility work.

Had Mike and Mac out yesterday, but Wyatt and Jay really hit it!
All trais in our system were groomed last night except Trail 11.

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...
