ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via NORTH COUNTRY SNOWMOBILE CLUB – 02/24
Josh, Kurtis and Tractor Mac were out last night, looks like all 109 miles were hit. Mother Nature put down from 10" to 20" depending on your location on our system. Snow is pretty dry so not packing in perfectly but going down nonetheless. Expecting another 3" today.
Get out and ride the beautiful 906!

Not a great pic but that is Trail #1 along Lake Superior, what a difference!

Trail #12 from Ontonagon to White Pine.
Trail #1 from White Pine to Lake of the Clouds.
Trail #11 from Trail #1 to Trail #102.

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-30-26.
Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...

WATERSMEET - WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> TRAIL REPORT- 1/29/27 Riders and Groomers are reporting excellent conditions throughout are trail system. Groomer Gary is out grooming the west run which is trail 2 and 13s. Groomer Jeff is grooming trail 3 Land o Lakes to Bonds Falls and trail 2 east. Temperatures will start out cold with wind chills below -20F in the far eastern U.P. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin in these conditions. Very few sleds are available the first two weeks in February! End of the month and March are wide open. We look forward to a late riding season, so get your self together and head for da North Coast! Please ride the West side before the highway cross over with caution as the recovery equipment left some snow piles and rough trail areas. We will fix it ASAP and hope to have the Big Blue Tractor back running tomorrow night. #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotosTRAIL UPDATE: The groomer and drag are recovered off Trail 1 North of White Pine.
