Good morning all!
No new snow in the past several days but we are still holding on.
Steve sent us this report after his run down 49 to Kinross and back last night.
“I made a solo run down Trail 49 to Kinross and back last night.
Conditions were challenging with the warm weather but the trail groomed better than expected.
Everything we have been reporting the last week applies to this trail too.
The trail itself has good snow but bare spots are showing up in the areas that get some sun.
It is normal spring conditions. There is still some good riding out there.

As a reminder, road shoulders and crossings are bare so those spots are tricky.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Extremely cold temperatures and wind chills continue today into Saturday morning while lake effect snow continues over the NW wind snowbelts. Frostbite can occur in less than 10 minutes on exposed skin in this weather. Good morning! Bryan and his son Logan hit the city trails last night and also 49 down to 7 mile and they turned out great! The little streams behind Kewadin Casino are still flowing (see the video in the comments) even with all of the cold, but our bridges have made a huge difference in there! There is one spot along the Kewadin trail that is soft and we keep filling it in as best we can. Likely a nonissue for the weight of a sled, but worth mentioning.
