Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 03/01

We had blizzard conditions yesterday with snow and lots of blowing and drifting. We have had 7 inches on our snowboard since Sunday PM. Today, the total depth has settled to 26" with a very hard base underneath. Areas farther north are reporting even more snowfall. Trails were mostly good prior to this new snow, so things will only be better!

Unfortunately, things do not look promising for the snowmobile season after Sunday.

No cottage availability this weekend (Thurs, Fri, Sat).

Checkout and like our Facebook page at, facebook.com/Halfwaylake
You can find rider input on trail conditions under the Lake Superior Snowbelt Rider’s group.

Ride right from your door in a different direction each day! We are located 12 mi NW of Newberry (Halfway to Lk Superior) and 7 miles south of Pine Stump Junction. Between Grand Marais and Paradise. Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association (TASA) grooms over 125 miles of trails that interconnect to hundreds of miles of trails groomed by local associations.
