TRAIL REPORT, March 1, 2022
One Month Left – Get Out There And Ride!
Days are getting longer with snow conditions starting to change with the added sunlight. No significant changes with a dusting of new snow and trails in an overall good condition. Operators were reporting very good results with our trails primarily in very good condition east of M94. The west side Trails are in good condition but we are finding have not been holding as long due to the lighter grooming equipment. Trails are expected to get choppy throughout the day. Operators are doing what they can with the tools at hand as we are still waiting for the return of our Big John Deere. Get out and Enjoy the Trails, Ride to the Right and Stay Tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/28
Donnie made a run last night to straighten up the trail after another high traffic weekend. Trails have been getting rough later in the day, and we will continue to see this trend until traffic numbers decrease. Midweek trails should hold up better with mild temps still below freezing and some chances for snow early and late in the week.
***I have been getting reports from landowners on and near the trails of sledders trespassing on their property. The pipeline is not public property. The fields on the trail are not public property. Many of these fields still have barb wire and other hidden dangers around and in them.***

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Getting prepped for the weekend! Grooming, maintenance, and training are on the schedule. Snow is grooming out well, but temps are not letting it hold up. Colder temps this weekend will help, but warmer temps next week will make it challenging to keep the trail smooth late into the day. Roadside banks are getting tall which makes the trail narrow when paralleling the road. Keep that in mind when meeting the groomer in tight areas. Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos

MUNISING AREA UPDATE VIA TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Our newest operator is catching on quick! Reinforcements from Pennsylvania have arrived also! We are hitting it hard for this weekend with a short preventative maintenance window planned for the machine on Saturday. Temps are warming up during the day, making the trail soft and letting moguls form, but temps will drop again for the weekend! That means better trails for Saturday. Looks warm for the start of next week with temps near 30 by Tuesday. Get out and ride while the riding is good! Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos
