Days are getting longer with snow conditions starting to change with the added sunlight. No significant changes with a dusting of new snow and trails in an overall good condition. Operators were reporting very good results with our trails primarily in very good condition east of M94. The west side Trails are in good condition but we are finding have not been holding as long due to the lighter grooming equipment. Trails are expected to get choppy throughout the day. Operators are doing what they can with the tools at hand as we are still waiting for the return of our Big John Deere. Get out and Enjoy the Trails, Ride to the Right and Stay Tuned for updates!
MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/28
Donnie made a run last night to straighten up the trail after another high traffic weekend. Trails have been getting rough later in the day, and we will continue to see this trend until traffic numbers decrease. Midweek trails should hold up better with mild temps still below freezing and some chances for snow early and late in the week. ***I have been getting reports from landowners on and near the trails of sledders trespassing on their property. The pipeline is not public property. The fields on the trail are not public property. Many of these fields still have barb wire and other hidden dangers around and in them.*** Ride right and ride safe.
MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Another run last night as we start wrapping up the season. We are running minimal runs in order to keep the trail smooth and save the snow for the rest of the season. Trail is ice and is grooming out as such. We will keep doing the best we can with what we have to get through the end of the season. Ride right and ride safe! #munising#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> The struggle is real! Alger SORVA pulled a day shift assist and smashed down our problem areas with the Bison today, but that didn’t stop us from getting into a bind with too much snow! The tunnel under 41 had a 3’ (settled height) drift down the entire length and it was too much to push through. We are close to the roof of the machine during normal operas we scrape it down close to the bottom. One of our operators threw his personal track loader on a trailer and came to the rescue. Between the track loader and the Deere, we were able to clear the tunnel out and get back to grooming. These guys go to all lengths to keep operations moving forward. #munising#snowphotos...
