KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 3/31
March 31st is here and this is the last official day of the 2021/22 season. Trails running through private land will be closed after today. Trails running on state land do not close. Within the KSC trail system that is trail 17 from Calumet to Hancock and trail 3 running south of Houghton that do not close to snowmobile traffic. These trails are open to ORV traffic. Our snow “storm” sure didn’t pan out…. Keweenaw County only recorded 4.5 inches of fresh snowfall and a total of 305.5 inches for the season so far. There is definitely not a lack of snow though for those of us out enjoying the trails today! Reid Berman has been up riding Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula for the past week and half 😳 and shared these photos from this morning. Reid said, “It’s pretty good out here, a few bumps, but they are minor. It has been good riding!” Hope anyone that has the opportunity to ride today enjoys the day!
