December 27, 2022 16 degrees this morning and cloudy. We picked up around 3" of snow last night too. "They" are calling for 3-5 more for today and tonight! We have LOTS of snow on the ground now, I would say at least 3 FEET!!! But……I`m sure you`ve all seen the weather reports for the end of the week and into next week……not looking so good……lets hope "they" are wrong. We`ve been pretty busy the last couple of days so here`s the run down……..
Dave M. and myself took a machine with no drag and set the town trail. That was a challenge cause of how deep the snow was but we got `er done and it turned out pretty good. We then went to the west side of town and hit the S. loop, trail #45, and went past the old barn and out to the Hwy to the gate. We did not go past the gate on trail #45 cause we were by ourselves and the rest of this trail is swamp and we ALWAYS take 2 machines thru there for the first run just in case somebody gets stuck in da muck. The gate remains closed. I wouldn`t recommend going around it!
Mike C. took a machine with a drag and headed towards Pine Stump on trail #8. Everything went well until he hit "siberia". He told me that in all his years he has never seen it drifted so bad. He unhooked his drag and tried to make it thru but he couldn`t. He turned around and retrieved his drag and came back. We`ll have to take a couple of machines thru there once the snow settles some and maybe some snowmobiliers knock it down.
Today, Mike H. is gonna take just a machine and go around the Point trails #452 & #453.
We will wait and see how this warm up is gonna pan out before we head into the swamps on the Falls trail and the south trail. Its just a waste of time and really hard on the machines to go thru the swamps and then have everything thaw out and have to do it all over again.
If you are thinking about heading UP, I say go for it. There is plenty of riding to be had and "siberia" is gonna be drift heaven, you`re just not gonna be able to get thru any wet areas just yet.
LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! and please not warm up too much Groomer Chris

PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/30/26 Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago...... No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!! The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape. Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!! LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris #paradise #newberry ... See MoreSee Less

WORKING THE DEEP SNOW!
The 3 day Blizzard ended up dumping 2 to 3 feet of snow across our trail system. Groomers started cutting in the trails and building a base last night with great results. Being the first time grooming with such a heavy snowfall we are pushing very large amounts of snow. We are expecting this to take a few days to cover our entire system. Groomers will be out through the daytime and nightime hours so stay alert. Trails are also soft outside of the packed areas so Please ride with caution until we have trails completed.

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 12/26
The good, the bad, and the ugly…. The good is our operator is home safe and the tractor is too. The bad is that we cannot make it out of Chatham yet. That ugly is the trail is temporarily unpassable for the groomer. Stuck twice in 1/4 of a mile. Thank you to Crossroads Truck repair and Mark Whitmarsh for the tugs today! Looking forward, we are going to clean up east of Chatham tomorrow. We will be waiting until at least Wednesday if not Thursday for Chatham going west as the snow needs to settle. We have worse places to get through than we were having issues with today. The best thing some of you adventurous explorers could do is hammer down our trail for the next couple days to help the groomer get through. It isn’t the best report we could muster up, but it is the only report we have. We live to groom another day. We will get through come hell or high snow!
