ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via NORTH COUNTRY SNOWMOBILE CLUB – 01/05
4 to 8" of fresh snow on our trail system. 3 groomers were out all night. Our trails are in excellent condition with fresh snow!! 109 miles of trails, 3 groomers groomed over 250 miles; 11 hours on each machine.

Trail 12 – finally groomed through the wet areas close to Ontonagon – good condition

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...

Please ride the West side before the highway cross over with caution as the recovery equipment left some snow piles and rough trail areas.
