ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton’s North Coast Adventures – 01/20
Enjoy your trails today! Kurtis and Steve spent their night grooming up the North Country Snowmobile Club UP trails. For the record, this Dubie Groomers/Brush Cutter track was laid by the one and only Prez, Groomer Mikey! This is trail 101, 5 minutes from our shop! Thank you groomers and land owners!

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via NORTH COUNTRY SNOWMOBILE CLUB – 01/19
Vice President mac ( wish him a happy birthday today)and President aka groomer Mikey were out all night and morning trying to get the trails back in shape after 3 days of rain and warm temps, we had 12" rock hard moguls to cut and lots of wet spots to fill we should have 80% of our system I good shape by Friday am.
Trail 1 from white pine to lake of the clouds is 70% groomed its thin along Lake superior with a couple wet spot you can go around .
Trail 11 s. Boundary road is groomed and good gonna be some bumps in a couple corners yet.
Trail 12 from white pine and is ok.. lots of chatter bumps in the corners wet spots are filled
Trail 12 from Ontonagon to Greenland is groomed but still has a few bumps all wet spots are filled
Trail 137 is groomed and is decent still a few small bumps.
Trail 13 did not get groomed yet but is first on the list for tonight all 3 groomers will be out and hopefully we will have the whole system groomed by Friday and it’s snowing with 4 to 6" by tomorrow night

WATERSMEET - WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> TRAIL REPORT- 1/29/27 Riders and Groomers are reporting excellent conditions throughout are trail system. Groomer Gary is out grooming the west run which is trail 2 and 13s. Groomer Jeff is grooming trail 3 Land o Lakes to Bonds Falls and trail 2 east. Temperatures will start out cold with wind chills below -20F in the far eastern U.P. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin in these conditions. Please ride the West side before the highway cross over with caution as the recovery equipment left some snow piles and rough trail areas. There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We are grooming our regular schedule, every day.
The trails are excellent.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup
