Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/20
January 20, 2023 20 degrees this morning and cloudy. Got nutin but good news so lets go!!!! She was snowin an blowin all day yesterday…….now thats more like it!!!! I had steady 20-25 mph winds here at my place. Its hard to tell how much snow we got but I`ll call it at least 8". I have waist high drifts in my parking lot! Talked to da boss last night and here`s da plan…… Groomer Dave M. is gonna head south this morning (but skip the swamp for now) and get that trail back in shape. He will run thru the federal forest section thats been closed (cause of water) and see what that looks like. In case you don`t know, the federal forest section on trail #8 is the section between M-123 and Lakeshore Drive. If it comes out decent he`ll leave the gates open. Groomer Mike C. is gonna take just a machine and work on the Falls trail #45. We haven`t been able to open this trail up safely yet this year! Tomorrow we`ll hit the Pine Stump trail #8 and the Point trails #452 & #453. If the Falls trail looks decent we may even poke our heads into the swamp south of town. The weather looks like it will cooperate now, and the winds are switching to the NW, so we are gonna bust our butts to get every trail open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Things are lookin much better……….I`m excited……..LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11 degrees this morning under partly cloudy skies. I got about 2" of fresh snow on my deck from last night. Nothing new to report on the trails except the loggers are done out by Pine Stump now, we`ll whip that in shape today and all will be good in sno-mo country! Our entire system will be groomed today, all trails are in GREAT SHAPE!!!!
My biggest question is....where is everybody? Its been slow all season U.P. here.....even on the weekends. Ya`ll are missing out. COME ON U.P.!!!!! Quick report as I`m heading out the door to go grooming.

Workin her pretty hard to get what you want, but we are.
She likes 7MPH tonight, should give an indication why we're Not much into stopping for oncoming traffic.
