We got 2-3” of fresh powder overnight! It’s absolutely beautiful this morning ❄️❄️ Rode trail 677 to Caberfae Peaks for breakfast! Ski slopes are amazing too! ⛷

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:
33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)
Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)
Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery
Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.

CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Cadillac Winter Promotions >> We have decided to halt grooming operations until Sunday due to these cold temps. Our operators safety is #1. A lot of our trails have no cell service and if a tractor goes down it would be bad for our volunteers. The trails are in very good shape right now still. See you out there Sunday. #cadillac
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Dangerous wind chills will be widespread today, especially this morning. Wind chills in the 20s below zero; some areas could feel as cold as -30F. This will be dangerous, as frostbite can develop in as little as 30 minutes on exposed skin. Limit time outdoors and dress in layers. Keep a winter weather survival kit in your vehicle in case you get stranded.
