Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 03/02 – UPDATED

Wednesday 1pm Update – We got about six inches of fresh snow yesterday and last night. Just came home from town and I solemnly swear that trail 7 from Ray’s Retreat into town was all white. No dirt showing. It has been groomed. Sleds were moving along at a good clip. Conditions are good. If you want to ride this is going to be it… next week temps are warming.. much warmer….

Tuesday 5pm Update – Just had a rider stop in….. he reads our reports and wanted to let us know he’s been out riding most of the day, and its been great! We have gotten at least 3 inches of new snow, and now they are saying 3-6 inches expected and more tomorrow.

<>

Trail looks like it might have been groomed. Looked good all into town. Its cold.. and staying cold until the end of the weekend. Starting to snow now, 1-3 inches is what they are saying. If you are wanting to ride I am thinking this week may be the last chance. Next week is showing warm temps everyday.
I took a picture of the trail and posted it on Rays Retreat Country Inn’s facebook page.

Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 03/01

Greetings Sledders,

Our local weather wizards had us locked in at 1.3″ out of this system, they got the 1 part right and they were just a little outside with the .3 part as we got at least 6″ and it’s still snowing at half past 7. I just got in from grooming and I need to grab some grub so I can plow around the motel enough so that I can jump in and groom some more tomorrow.

I was hoping to get at least one last groom and it looks like I’ll get that and more.

We are grooming on the regular schedule, hopefully through Saturday, and then that looks as though that’ll be the end of er’ for this year. Temps look to behave until Monday and then it looks like we will be flirting with 60 on Tuesday.

If you come up, be aware that we have moucho ice so please be careful. Otherwise we have plenty of snow to work with and I’m rating them at fair to good. The fair part is due to the ice. This could be your last chance to dance this year.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.
