Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/02

Warmer temps today and tomorrow then snow in the forecast for Wednesday through Sunday!

Despite the mild day with sun the trails held up pretty well.

Looks like the rain forecasted for us will miss as well.

We had a half dozen or so sleds out today and everyone said overall things were pretty good.

Power lines by Peegeos are very snirty but the trail itself is looking pretty good considering we haven’t had much snow. I will update this weekend once we get a bit more snow.

NOTE: This is notoriously a slow rental weekend for us and fairly mild for traffic as well, so if your looking for something to do this weekend give us a call. We offer 4 or 8 hour rentals and have a bunch available this coming weekend!

Come on up and ride. Www.bluesky-tvc.com

Cadillac Area Trail Report – Visit Cadillac – 01/02

January 2, 2017

Due to the warm-up today, grooming operations have halted until further notice. Colder temperatures are due later in the week and hopefully they will bring more snow.

January 1, 2017 — HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our Trail Coordinator reporting in this morning said the trails are in GOOD to FAIR condition. The forest roads are GOOD with the narrower portions of the trail system not holding up as well. He also indicated there is an ice base so be careful.

Trail Conditions: Good

Call just in from our groomer on Trail 637 reporting the trails are Good…better in some areas than others. He reports there is a lot of snow in the woods. He was actually grooming today–not panning. That’s a good sign. Picked up 3-4 inches of new snow last night. He also indicated there are a lot of sleds in the woods so take your time and enjoy the ride. Be safe.
