Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/19

We had snow most of the day yesterday. Many times it was coming down so hard visibility was zero. Which caused lots of problems on the roads and even riding on the trail. Definitely time to slow down.

We picked up at least another 6 – 8 inches of fresh white flakes by last night.

The riding was rough yesterday. Snowing and blowing meant the trails were not so smooth even though the groomer was out.

Today the groomer should be able to get those trails in good shape and its looking like the rest of the week is going to be quiet.

This is the time to enjoy riding … during the week!

Drummond Island Trail Report – 01/18

He was out on the east end of the Island again today. The water holes are getting better but the groomer is still breaking through them. While you can get around the water holes there is not as much snow on the east end of the island therefore the snow on the trails in that are is thin. There is logging going on trail 493 from the plains for 5 miles heading towards the east. Please watch for log trucks! This area is posted with Logging signs.

The west end generally our better end and has less water holes than the east end. but I will know later this evening how it is

As usual our trail base is any where from 2-4 inches depending on the area with over a foot of snow on the ground.

* Let it Snow * Let it Snow * Let it Snow *
