Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 04/01

Sunny Monday and April Fools day in Frederic, I wish i could say we had a snow storm overnight. I really did have a few flakes on my truck when I left home this morning. Well we are past the sled season. Each year when I start writing this blog its hard to get myself going on it each day and now that the season is over its a habit and hard to stop as its the first thing I think of when I walk in here in the mornings. I just want to say a bit Thank You to everyone that stopped in during the season that helped support my hang out. Its always fun seeing the regulars as well as all the new people that stop in.

Here is another interesting link I just found out about, you will want to keep this one Snow Depth Charts and information at gaylord. For the summer I will try and put things on as they come along maybe every couple weeks or it might stretch to a month, or will post from where ever my travels may take me. Also please remember me for any real estate questions or purchases or selling that you may need to do anywhere in the state…..

Here is a link to the news story on the trail closures for orv’s this summer. Be sure to read this and pay attention to it as this is going to be a big ongoing story .  Trail Closures in and around Grayling

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/31

Sunday Morning, last day of the riding season, well it has been pretty much over around Frederic, Grand Marais got in a full season with their last groom being last night. Pics below I am posting that are from thier last post…….

All in all we ended up alot better around the Frederic area then what it started out like. We pretty much lost all of December and January but February and the first couple weeks of March were the best we have seen in quite a while. This winter roller coaster is never predictable with its on and off again appearances. There were a couple people that stopped in here on their way north on thursday and that was it.

I am going to stay here till about 5 today just to see if anyone stops on their way back south. I dont imagine there will be to many. Now all we can do is hope for an April storm but if that does happen its only good for the people that are right here and that can get out on it right away. Weather looks pretty warm for this coming week. Thanks for checking in. Pete
