HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> 02/01
We had a groomer out on the grade last night that ran north from Pellston to Mackinaw. Overall the trails are in great shape.
Please be aware there is still logging on Chadderdon road (Trail 71) & log trucks have the right of way. Please get off the trail or turn around if you encounter one, DO NOT try to go around them. They have about two more weeks of logging in that area.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Light lake effect snow showers will taper off this morning, leaving partly to mostly cloudy skies in place across northern Michigan today with highs in the mid to upper 20s. WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> We know you'll pass by this post for snowfall today, but here on February 12th, 2026, it's quite a reflective moment to see just how far we have come this winter. Just a couple weeks ago it was lake effect snow every single day. Today, a light band of 1-3" near Munising is all we will need to write home about. We even tossed in some humor for those not in a designated snowfall zone. A couple slick spots will pop up along M-28 near Munising, and perhaps around Petoskey if a longer lake effect band happens to form, but this is more unlikely than likely.

Josh groomed 76 to 765 then to trail 7 the railroad grade. From there he went to Weber Lake on 765 and 76. Then groomed 76 back to Chandler Hill Road. #petoskey #snowphotos

Overall the trails are in good shape but we really need some fresh snow. Warmer temperatures are on the way for this weekend which will really take a toll on the conditions & the ability to groom.
