Ironwood Trail Report – 12/11

Steve was out today cutting the preseason bumps ahead of 48 hours of cold temperatures! Looking very good on trail 2 from Hurley, WI to Ramsay, MI. We need more snow and forecasts look good!

Trails will open at 8am Thursday this week! A full updated trail report will be available tomorrow. It should be an incredibly fun weekend around Ironwood, MI with Snocross racing at Mt. Zion, sled trails opening, ABR Ski Trails open and nothing but snow in the forecast! Plan your stays with our current two lodging sponsors AmericInn Hotel Ironwood MI & Big Snow Resort! We are still looking for help brushing trail 160 & 11s. Bring a loppers on your sled and make a difference this weekend while you are having fun!

Ironwood Trail Report – 12/07

DECEMBER 7

After rolling 2/3rds of our trails we have a lot of brushing to do. Many spots continue to consume snow, so much water is moving yet leaving much of the trail not groomable. We’ll have an update tomorrow, but some of our trails are impassable and need mountains of work. Be sure to check out our brushing ride party Saturday.

DECEMBER 6

Groomers are rolling around the clock to pack in the 14′-20′ we’ve seen across our trail system.

Calling for heavy lake effect Saturday night and we are planning a club ride & work day Saturday as well.

Looking for folks with sleds to come out and help brush this Saturday. Bring loppers and a chain saw. An event will be set up later Today. Think snow and cold!! Volunteer with us today! Make some local contacts for good snow reports!
