GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. – East Trail 8 is packed and ready . the loggers are out , and we are smoothing down the bumps , nightly . There is a couple fresh inches of fluff . We are waiting for more accumulation , to go past the parking lot , farther east , Seen 30 sleds last night ! All thumbs U.P. ! As always , watch for icy spots , and stop in for a coffee … Groomer Ted

Groomer Report:

Went south tonight. Still some dirty sandy snow in spots on hills and corners but trails 8, 443 and 88 that connects old seney rd to 443 are nice. Stay safe.

Ran North trail Saturday night, 8, 888 and 88. Pretty bumpy from heavy snowmobile traffic since it was done yesterday. NASCAR corners are covered with dirty snow from shallow base, need more snow. The rest of the trail is in excellent shape. The few inches of snow that we got Friday really helped shape it up. Be safe out there and keep up snow dances! Groomer Will

South on 443. New snow greatly improved the trail. No wet spots and no sand. Trail cleaned up nicely. Snowed throughout my run. Groomer Dan

Groomer Report: Went east on trail 8 tonight. Pretty good snow conditions but snow is thin and down to sand in a lot of places once you cross county road 407. Keep doing your snow dances, it was falling on me the whole night and was still snowing when I got back to the barn. Stay safe out there guys. – Groomer Kevin
