Adam went out and rode the trails Wednesday night and shared these remarks
“Took a ride last night to see what all the fuss was about on trail 3 by Mohawk,
North of Mohawk the trail is getting pretty thin on snow, you will hit some gravel over about a 5 mile stretch, but get through because it gets a whole lot better
Trail 3 from Phoenix to Deleware is decent
Trails 132 and 134 are in great shape (best in the Keeweenaw)
130 from deleware into EH is good
133 wet and rough
3 over Brockway MT terrible
130 from Phoenix to cut off rd is poor
CH EH and LLB all have enough snow pack to easily access these towns to get to The Mariner North

Light lake effect snow showers will linger over the eastern U.P., mainly close to Lake Superior. With dry air mixing in, totals will be relatively kept in check, but a swath of 1-3", perhaps 4" is possible along M-28 south of Grand Marais. Changing wind fields will also allow for light/brief accumulations along some of our lakeshore regions in the Lower Peninsula, but it's not guaranteed for everyone. Timing is through the remainder of the day. The weather has been pretty crazy the past week and a half. Hopefully it will settle down and stay cold for the month of March. Looks like another busy weekend with the hill climbs in South Range. Plus the dog sled races in the Keweenaw.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Strong westerly winds develop this afternoon and evening, with winds gusting up to 60 mph in the Keweenaw and 45 mph for the remainder of the northern UP near the Superior shoreline. Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
